This coverage applies only if the driver is legally responsible for the damage. We can help you determine the limits that are right for you.
This portion of your policy provides payments for all reasonable medical and dental expenses incurred by you or a member of your household as a result of an accident in your car, regardless of whose fault the accident was. This coverage also covers passengers who may be riding in your car.
There are situations when you would not be covered for medical payments. One is if the injuries were sustained while your car was being used as a taxi or other commercial use. Another would be if the vehicle you were injured in was a car owned by you, but not listed on the policy.

There are two types of coverage: (a) Collision; (b) Other Than Collision (also called "comprehensive coverage")
(a) Collision coverage will pay for any damage to a car listed on your policy resulting from a collision with another automobile or object. The maximum amount to be paid is limited to the actual cash value of your vehicle, commonly referred to as "blue book" value, less the collision deductible.
(b) Comprehensive coverage will pay for most any damage to a car listed on the policy resulting from a situation other than a collision with another automobile or object. Some of the things covered by this portion of your policy include: breakage of glass, falling objects, fire, theft, windstorm, hail, water, flood, malicious mischief, vandalism, or collision with a bird or animal.
The maximum amount paid is limited to either a specified amount or the actual cash value of your vehicle less the "other than collision" deductible. Comprehensive also covers damage to items stored in the car for up to a certain limit specified in your policy.
Both of these coverages are usually subject to a deductible that is the amount you have to pay out of your own pocket for each claim. The higher the deductible you select, the lower your premium payments will be.
There are situations when your policy would not pay for damages. For example, damage due to normal wear and tear such as mechanical or electrical breakdowns and flat tires, would not be covered.
